Ok – I know what porphyria is. I just wonder whether there is a dietary supplement that can help? Traditionally, people with porphyria got the enzymes that their body lacked by drinking the raw blood of animals. Quite frankly, that’s dangerous. There are expensive medications, both oral and injectible, that can be taken. But, I wonder, are there dietary supplements that could help? While a dietary cure is not at all likely, could there be something to lessen the amount of medication needed, thereby lowering the cost of care?
