Is it possible to stunt my growth or hurt myself from exercises?

If i do crunches/ bicycle exercises wrong, can i hurt myself? I do chest workouts and bicep curls every other day and i don’t usually overdo it. I also do run a bit 3 times a week.

I’m 14, 100 pounds, and 5’1.

I’m just worried that i might hurt myself. :x

Do you think recovering from depression comes before exercise, or does forced exercise help relieve?

depression. I was severely depressed for five months then lost my car which forced me to walk, then ride a bicycle and now i feel better. I have bipolar and wonder if the exercise brought me out of the depression or it was just part of the cycle. I had been working and walking 9 stories of stairs prior to my depression. Are these cycles something I will have to deal with, or can I maintain a stable mood by just taking better care of myself.
Well, I think as far as bipolar goes it may play a small part; after three days my mood has dropped again. I was up at 2:45 this morning after being depressed all day.

Elbow still hurts from wrestling after about 3 weeks.?

My stupid friend did the same arm grab to the same arm over and over and over and over and now my elbow/forearm feel pain when I use it to list weights or punch the punching bag. Why has this pain not gone away yet? Do I need to wait longer or do I have tendonitis or something? I am not going to go to the doctor to spend $500 so I can be told I injured my elbow so please don’t suggest the doctor.

To describe the pain it is not muscle pain, it feels like the bone, or some tendons or something deep in the bottom of my elbow and up the bottom of my forearm a little. When I do pushing exercises like bench press, it doesnt hurt while I do the exercise, but once I set down the weights my whole elbow forearm area on my right arm starts to hurt in a throbbing type of pain…

Advice from avid runners, what is a good way to build my stamina for running up?

I’ve never been much of a runner, I was in track but I was a thrower, volleyball and softball I never ran for long amounts of time. I’m out of shape and doing different workouts. I want to start walking and being able to jog more often, and for longer spurts.
How do I do this without “killing” myself? I’m willing to work hard to obtain my goal. I eventually want to be able to jog/run 2 miles without stopping. How do I work up to this?

Leaving for the Air Force hopefully at the end of August or September and want to be able to keep up with the pack.

The answers so far are really great, but I think there is some confusion. I’m not obese…but I’m REALLY out of shape and I can’t run just 10 min without stopping. I walked 1.6 miles yesterday and every now and then just jogged a bit until I’d loose a lot of breath then I’d continue walking. If I keep doing this adn every week jog a little more of the route will it work?
