In high school, how come i can’t start weight training until 10th grade?

I’m going to high school next year starting 9th grade and joining both cross country and wrestling, the second one being my most favorite. On the sheet it says weight training is for 10-12 graders.

Does it matter if you do cardio before weight training or vice versa?

I am working out 6 days a week alternating upperbody and lower body (core everyday) but also doing 30 minutes of cardio everyday. Is that enough cardio if I am trying to tone and lose weight moreso than gain muscle? Also does it make a difference if you do cardio or the weight training first?

Will I be hurting myself if I work lots of cardio along with circuit weight training?

I want to do cardio alongside my weight training routine. I want to be able to run marathons and atleast 5 miles or over, but I don’t want to be all small like an olympic long distance runner, I want to have muscle. Can anyone please suggest a weight training/ cardio workout for me.

How soon do you eat before and after cardio and weight training? Which foods are best for each?

For instance is it better to have a protein shake after weight training instead of whole foods and vice versa for cardio? Or should we eat 1 hr before and after all workouts, or is it 30 minutes?

How can I loosen up my frozen shoulder that hurts when I do certain weight training excercises?

Particularly dumbell flys hurts my right shoulder joint.

Two years ago, I had an onset of diabetic frozen shoulder. The severe pains subsided after 6 months. Nowadays, the only time it hurts is during weight training.

Does anybody have any information on how to fix my shoulder so that it does not hurt. Any physical therapy should I do to correct this?

How does weight training relate to weight loss?

I am an overweight 40 year old male and have been seeing a nutritionist and working out for two months now. I am doing great and have lost 16 lbs! I have only been doing cardio (walking, treadmill, and eliptical) as my exercise routine. I want to incorporate weight training, but do not understand the benefits. How will this help me lose weight? I understand that is will benefit me in the long run with toning up my muscles etc.. but right now I am trying to focus on weight loss. Should I start the weight training now or wait until I lose more weight.

So im going to start weight training for the first time. Im takeing a HS class on it, and am lifting for four months. I heard that compound eexercises are best for all aorund muscle mass.

So what are the best exercises for me to do? I plan on working mostly upper body and some lower body.

Ok Im on a diet thing that you lose weight.
But it says to do cardio and weight training.
Im a girl and i want to slim down and tone up.
So I already run 2-4 miles a day..which is my cardio.
But what should i do for weight training?
